I was fortunate enough to receive a nice PR goodie bag from Palmer’s with a selection of products from their new Coconut Oil line. It got sent at a pretty good time, because self-care towards my body has decreased significantly (I’ll just say it: laziness) during these cold months.
I received the following:
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Cream
My boyfriend and I have been using all 3 products for a couple of weeks and it’s about time to officially share the love with you all!
Palmer’s is kind enough to provide a set of the same Coconut Oil products we got to 3 lucky winners!

Onto the review!

- Oil and Lotion for sure contains soybean oil
- Cream has vitamin E, not sure if this is derived from soy
- Price range $7 – $10
Just as a TMI note: I’m not sure if it causes body acne. In general, my back can develop a cyst once in a while, so I’m really not sure if this perpetuates the problem, but my chest has not been congested from using these products.
As Palmer’s advises, we’ve been using these Coconut Oil Formulas after a shower. However, all of the products are not super oily or greasy that you have to wait a long time to wear clothing!
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Oil deeply hydrates, rejuvenating and replenishing skin’s moisture and radiance.
My favourite of the 3. It has the least amount of scent, glides on easily and does not leave a super oily finish for long. I’ve been using this after the Lotion or Cream as a “seal” of moisture. I notice when I do not use this, the moisturizing effect of the lotion seems to disappear faster. Either way, I do like using it on its own when I’m in a lazy mood and need quick body moisture!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion contains high levels of naturally occuring fatty acids and proteins that are essential in keeping skin radiant and healthy looking.
This one is my least favourite of the three. It has a STRONG, and I mean STRONG smell of coconut. I personally like faint coconut scents, whereas Nick loves how strong it is. If there was a bit of a pineapple scent in there, I’d definitely be in my bliss state! It moisturizes my body decently, and the coconut smell lingers. Nick has been using this more than I have, and I can’t help but notice when I grab his arms he’s soft like a bebe! If you like heavy coconut scents and a lighter texture, this one is your go to. For me, I’ll just let Nick enjoy the Body Lotion while I keep the Body Oil for myself.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Cream
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Cream is a rich formula which helps soften even the roughest skin.
This also has the heavy coconut fragrance along with a heavier texture. Despite its thicker formulation, I like that it applies easily without too much rubbing. I’ve been applying this on targeted areas, such as my hands, knees, feet, and the sides of my hips where I have a bit of stretch marks happening (No, friends and family, I’m not preggo. I am working out. Skin is stretching.). It definitely moisturizes heavier than the Oil and Lotion, but not so heavy to the point where I feel greasy. It’s going to take more time to see if it helps with the stretch marks I’ve developed, but Palmer’s other products are known to be great products for any future moms! Overall, the Body Cream places 2nd in my favourites out of the 3 Coconut Oil Formula products.

Final Thoughts
These were very affordable products that actually did something for my skin without causing a bad reaction. Again, not sure if this causes body acne, but I’m always happy when a product does not exacerbate any of my current problems. As I’ve mentioned, my one issue is that the products are heavily fragranced and takes a while to fade. And for those that are sensitive to soy, the Oil and Lotion have a considerable amount in it as its main emollient (higher than the coconut oil). Also I’m not sure if the vitamin E they have in their products is soy-derived as well. I can’t speak for issues like stretch marks just yet, but from Palmer’s company background and their main consumers, Palmer’s moisturizing products seem like the affordable go-to’s. Hopefully I see results on my own! Overall, if you like body products that don’t have a very greasy residue, smells (a LOT) like coconuts, and you’re on a budget, the Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Line is the place to start (also if you like what they do and do not offer in their quick facts).
