After years of ogling this product, back when I was a broke af university student, to my now somewhat adult self, I bit the bullet – I purchased the Banish Starter Kit.

Now for those of you who don’t know the brand Banish Acne Scars, it’s a skincare brand created by an OG acne-talking YTer named Daisy from the Acne Channel (formerly Perfect Beauty). Back when I was dealing with cystic acne, I found Daisy’s channel and saw that she too was going through the same journey to clear skin. Back in the day, not a lot of people showed their bare face on camera if they had really bad skin, so I was really happy to find a YTer I could connect to.

Fast forward to today, she has her own business called Banish Acne Scars, a brand that’s about:

“[Creating a] product line that gets to the root of problems, not just to cover them up temporarily.

Use fresh natural ingredients, sourced from the West Coast of United States .

Focus on the internal rather than external healing.”

I’ve been wanting to try her products for a long time, especially for my leftover scarring from cystic acne. The website has a lot of before and afters of customers that have been using her products, and that just made it more intriguing for me to try it for myself.

REVIEW: Green Beaver Extra Dry Skin Body Lotion and Extra Moisturizing Lip Balm

Sun’s out, meaning my dry and scaly legs want to get out of hibernation. I was sent 2 products from Green Beaver’s Extra Dry Skin Therapy Line to prepare for such an occasion.

Green Beaver is a local, affordable, family-run Canadian brand that focuses on creating safe, natural products for any part of your body. I’ve always seen the brand in many health and eco shops I walk into, and always noticed they had a vast amount of products.

I’ve been using the following Green Beaver products for the past few weeks and am ready to share my thoughts with you all!

Green Beaver Extra Dry Skin Body Lotion *
Green Beaver Extra Moisturizing Lip Balm *

Not sure what the Lip Balm has to do with ugly legs, probably to distract the onlookers from how much I’ve let myself go?

REVIEW: Paula’s Choice Moisturizers for Dry Skin

We all know Paula Begoun, right? Cosmetic Cop? Beautypedia? The ultimate brand review website, along with an ingredient dictionary with cited studies with each ingredient? Yes, that Paula Begoun.

I was in search of a skincare line that had effective products without potential sensitizing ingredients, and Paula’s Choice fit the bill. I really admire the transparency they have with the ingredients in their products (and listing their primary functions), and cater to all skin types.

I purchased Paula’s Choice Clinical Ultra-Rich Moisturizer and Skin Recovery Daily Lotion SPF 30 in hopes that my dry skin days will come to an end. These moisturizers have been put to use for the past month and I am ready to share with you all!
