First Impressions | Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Masks (Lotus, Hyaluronic Acid & Snail)

In my previous post Winter Skincare Routine for Dry and Acne Prone Skin I mentioned that sheet masks were Asia’s gift to us. I still and have always held by this statement since I tried sheet masks way back when I first started getting into Korean skincare.

If you don’t know, sheet masks are, well, sheets, on average the size of your face (not accurately), drenched in serum. While it may seem gimmicky, these babies sure do wonders. I always notice my face more hydrated, smooth, and bright. Depending on your specific skin concerns, constant use over time of specific sheet masks may help those problems!

While in Seoul a tourist must always walk around in Myeongdong, for this is where most, if not all, skincare shops are within walking distance of each other.

My favourite Korean brand Etude House was having a sale specifically for foreigners (lucky me) of 10pcs of the 0.2mm Therapy Air Masks for 10, 000 Won (~$12 CAD). Of course I got 4 packs (split between Nick and I. Nick uses sheet masks.)

I purchased Lotus (soothing & purifying), Hyaluronic Acid (skin moisturizing) and Snail (smoothening & firming).

Since it’ll be a while for Nick and I to go through all of them, this post will be dedicated to the first time use of each mask!

REVIEW | Be… By BubzBeauty

BubzBeauty finally did it – a collaboration! With Bh Cosmetics, she created a 12 color eyeshadow palette. I am a huge BubzBeauty fan; when I was going through insane skin troubles, I found her videos, watched and tried many of her DIYs to help my skin, as well as her Q&As about acne. She’s probably the one of the few beauty gurus I have been subscribed to for years and still enjoy watching – I even started watching her vlogs (I NEVER watch vlogs).

REVIEW | Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++

Hey Mochi Beauties!

I have been blessed by Wishtrend to review another product for you all! It is the long awaited Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF 40 / PA++. This product arrived* in the mail while I was coincidentally in South Korea. I couldn’t wait to try it when I got home! Aside from it being a blue sun lotion, this new product strongly emphasizes how it has UV protection AND heat protection. The latter I’ve never heard of in a sunscreen, let alone having a blue hue from an ingredient. This had me intrigued, and Googling for  more.

1st Etude House Haul

Etude House is probably one of my favourite K-Beauty brands. Every time I see the store, I absolutely must buy at least 5 things. I started my South Korean adventures in Busan, and I absolutely had to stop in the first store I came across. This was my first visit to Etude House, and below are the products I absolutely had to get!

#SampleSunday: Couple of Sephora, mostly Wishtrend!

This is my first time doing a sample post, but it was time to clean out my bathroom drawer.

The only reason I like any sample posts is because it’s like a first impression. It’s a bit hard to detect if a product works properly after one product I admit, but I also think it’s important to know how a product will react upon first contact with the skin.

I tried a few products t right after a bath, and the rest was before bed. I know it’s a lot of product in one go, but like I said – I wanted to get rid of these samples, plus I have backup skin saviours in case I get a bad reaction!

REVIEW: Jungle Botanics Natural Body Glow Nutshell Scrub

Hey beautypuffs!

I have been blessed with the first ever product sent to me to review! It’s the Jungle Botanics Natural Body Glow Nutshell Scrub provided by WishTrend.

This opportunity came up at the best time! Lately I’ve been feeling like some parts of my body have chicken skin (like my butt), and that I’ve been developing a bit of congestion on my body (my chest and back).

What’s really attracting me to this product are what they feature in it: their round-cut nutshell granules and all the natural oils! The granules are from real walnut shells, making them a perfect alternative to the plastic microbeads. The plastic ones do not break down properly, and remain in our sewage system and waters. The walnut shells are biodegradable, and will not contribute any toxic chemicals to our environment!

This will be the first ever body scrub I have tried, so I’m definitely going to give you an honest review*!
