EMPTIES #4 | Skincare, Makeup and Body

Another year, and another collection of empties! I’m in the process of decluttering my makeup collection, and I found it also an appropriate time to dig into my empties bag. I must get everything a beauty junkie possibly can out of the way!

This empties post has quite a bit of random stuff, nonetheless hope you enjoy the post and it helps you decide on future purchases!

The Release | Sappho New Paradigm

Hey beauties,

In November Sappho Cosmetics released their new line “Sappho New Paradigm” into the green beauty world.  The Detox Market on King St. was hosting their launch party in Toronto and I just had to check it out!

Canadian makeup artist, JoAnn Fowler, founded the company in 2008. She developed Sappho Cosmetics to provide a green and clean alternative to the toxic, chemically laden commercial brands that are currently on the market.

REVIEW | Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++

Hey Mochi Beauties!

I have been blessed by Wishtrend to review another product for you all! It is the long awaited Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF 40 / PA++. This product arrived* in the mail while I was coincidentally in South Korea. I couldn’t wait to try it when I got home! Aside from it being a blue sun lotion, this new product strongly emphasizes how it has UV protection AND heat protection. The latter I’ve never heard of in a sunscreen, let alone having a blue hue from an ingredient. This had me intrigued, and Googling for  more.

Minimal Makeup ft. RMS Beauty

Hey Beautypuffs

With summer in full force, some of you might question the best way to do your makeup. It’s hot and can be humid at times. If you’re like me, your skin colour ranges a lot based on how much sun you may get on your days off. And a bonus to us acne-prone, our breakouts may be more inflamed.

This has been a personal feat of mine to try to find a way to get the most natural coverage in full light, while not having to buy multiple different shades to match my skin tone of the day. That’s when I finally discovered RMS Beauty.

RMS Beauty is a raw, natural, organic makeup line created by Rose Mary Swift – someone who’s been in the beauty industry for years and has had enough of the toxic, harmful ingredients in products. You can read about her personal experience with beauty products and the toll it took on her health here.

OOTD: Shibuya109

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first fashion post.

About a month ago I went to the amazing city that is Tokyo. While there, my sister and I noticed how fashionable everyone was. You could definitely tell the trends, and that everyone has put effort in what they wore. We were very inspired during our travels, and had to shop at the monumental Shibuya109 – a women’s clothing mall that has 9 floors to shop on.

First Impressions: Kaia Naturals Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Cloths

Screen Shot 2016-03-21 at 12.21.55 PM

Hey beauties,

So back on my Green Beauty Haul post, I mentioned the Kaia Naturals Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Cloths. I’ve seen pictures of these circulate around Instagram, as well as seeing them in one of the natural health food stores I frequently pop into.

I purchased them for $13.49 CAD (before tax, $15.24 after), and wanted to see if they’re worth the splurge for the 30 cloths they provide.

Typically I’m not one for makeup wipes. They sting my eyes, make my skin tingle, leave a slimy residue, or break me out. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a 7 cloth pack of the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes for my vacation down south, just to have something easy to remove my eye makeup. I gladly used up the entire thing quickly. It did everything I hate in a makeup wipe! I couldn’t believe it.

Seeing the claims and good ingredients in these facial cleansing cloths, I thought I’d give it a go to see if they prove to be something handy to have on late nights or pre/post workouts.

Green Beauty Haul!

Hey beauties,

For the past couple of weeks I made quite a few purchases, all within the realm of green beauty. In my personal experience, natural, good quality ingredients have almost always done wonders for my skin, and always contribute positively to my skin health.

I’ve finished a few products (another Empties coming soon!), so it was time to purchase some goodies to cycle in my routine!

Most of the items are in the beauty category (duh), but there are just a couple of items I’ve included that are just necessary for every day hygiene.
